  • 3 credits (45 hours) per class

Seoul Housing Information

Housing Guarantee: UOS guarantees on-campus housing only for exchange students.

Housing Availability: Due to a shortage of dormitory rooms, UOS cannot guarantee on-campus housing for all partner universities. Please confirm your housing options with your home university coordinator before completing the UOS online application.

Dormitory Allocation Announcement: The dormitory allocation results will be announced one to two months before the semester begins, after confirmation from the dormitory office.

Dormitory Fees (as of 2024)

• Fees for Regular Semester (about 4 months) :
  • International House (single occupancy): 1,100,000 KRW (1,000,000 KRW fee + 100,000 KRW deposit)
  • Residence Hall (double occupancy): 796,000 KRW (696,000 KRW fee + 100,000 KRW deposit)

Room Type of Residence Hall

Each room of double occupancy, 15 rooms on each of the 7 floors

1 room for 2 people, using public toilets/shower rooms in corridors.

Room Type of International House

Each unit with 2 rooms / 3 rooms / 4 rooms / 5 rooms of single occupancy

There is a toilet/shower inside the house, and it is shared with the housemates

Remarks

In both housings, male and female sections are segregated

Allocation will be done on random basis.

Fees are payable on arrival at UOS. The dormitory office will give the bill to students when checking in, so you need to make a payment   later by due date.

Deposit will be refunded after the fees for usage of facilities are deducted.

For regular semester, students are required to apply it through the UOS online application system.

• Study Abroad Fee: $75
• Mercer Technology and Facility Fee: $150

Non-Billable Amounts:

Rates based on 2024-2025 academic year rates for one semester

• Flight: $2,000
• Housing: $800
• Personal Expenses: $3,000
  • including meals and groceries as Seoul does not have meal plans.

Non-Billable Total: $5,800

Seoul International Summer School (SISS)
Duration: Typically, late June – late July

This exchange program includes:

• Courses in IGS, Economics, Business, Development, Global Marketing, or Climate Change
• SISS SeoulMate Program!
• UOS offers a buddy program “SISS SeoulMate” for international students. SISS SeoulMate is the group of UOS Korean students who help international students adjust to life in Korea. SISS SeoulMates live with the international students at the dorm and participate in most of the programs offered by the SISS with all of the international students.
• A 4-day field trip to Jeju Island in Korea will give you a better understanding about Korea.
• To learn about Korea’s past, present and future, you can experience various kinds of activities while visiting meaningful spots in Korea such as 2-day field trip to Jeonju Hanok Village and Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). Activities like learning Taekwondo (Korean martial arts), making Korean traditional masks, learning K-pop dance, or watching a NANTA Show will create unforgettable memories
