Exploring Centuries of Change in England: A Study of the Role of Conflict and Leadership is a three-hour study abroad program focused on the rich history and culture of London, England. Using experiential learning, students will trace the development of England from a total monarchy to a parliamentary democracy, and examine psychological and cultural aspects, including the roles of conformity and obedience during World War II. The program includes lectures, museum visits, guided tours, and discussions with local experts, offering a comprehensive understanding of London’s history and people.

This program aims to fulfill the university’s mission by encouraging students to learn about cultures and histories beyond the United States, highlighting how various forces can shape a nation. Designed for both undergraduate and graduate students, the course provides 3 credit hours and emphasizes the importance of international travel for an immersive learning experience, allowing students to witness firsthand the historical changes in London.
