The Chile program combines academic learning from Mercer University’s EGR 491: Dynamics of Machinery course with a weeklong immersive experience in Santiago and surrounding regions. Designed in partnership with Academic Programs International (API), the program blends classroom instruction, university collaborations, and industry engagement with rich cultural activities. Students will deepen their understanding of kinematic and kinetic analysis of mechanisms while exploring real-world applications through visits to engineering labs, manufacturing facilities, sustainability-focused companies, and research centers. The itinerary also includes cultural experiences such as city tours, artisan neighborhoods, and traditional dance classes, as well as excursions to Viña del Mar, Valparaíso, and the San Cristóbal Teleférico.
