The Botswana program offers students a unique blend of academic learning, cultural immersion, and community service. Participants travel to Gaborone, Botswana, where they engage in hands-on courses in either AI and STEM or Public Speaking, combined with a global service-learning experience. Guided by faculty, students first meet online to prepare, learning about Botswana’s history, culture, and intercultural engagement. In Botswana, mornings are spent in classes, while afternoons involve teaching AI, coding, STEM skills, or public speaking to local youth at partner organizations. The itinerary also includes cultural excursions, such as city tours, museum visits, nature reserves, and village trips, fostering deeper connections to the host community. After returning, students create reflective YouTube videos to synthesize their experiences. This program not only builds technical and communication skills but also develops global citizenship, cultural understanding, and a commitment to meaningful service.
