Be sure to check your Mercer IT login credentials. You should receive two emails upon admission from our IT helpdesk—an email with your login ID and an email with your temporary password.
Use these credentials to sign into your My Mercer student portal and your Mercer Outlook account.
Be sure to check your Mercer email on Outlook regularly. If you have difficulties logging into your account, please contact Mercer IT at helpdesk@mercer.edu
Gather your immunization and medical records.
Each department will have its own requirements. We can inform you which medical records you need or refer you to a staff member in your program who knows the requirements.
For immunizations and testing that you are unable to receive prior to arrival, you may contact the Mercer Clinic for more information or to make an appointment upon arrival.
Decide on housing.
You may choose to live on or off campus. For more information about on campus housing, visit the housing website here: https://residencelife.mercer.edu/atlanta/apartments/ Scroll to the bottom of the page for information about off campus housing.
Understand the registration process. All programs will either register all students, or they will guide you through the process.
Sign your Student Statement of Responsibility on your My Mercer Portal at my.mercer.edu.
Do not enter the U.S. more than 30 days prior to your program start date. You may confirm this date on your I-20 form.
Have a housing plan BEFORE you purchase your ticket!
Check with your department and the Office of Global Engagement about orientation dates BEFORE your purchase flight tickets. Orientation attendance is mandatory.
Mercer will offer airport pickup from Atlanta international airport at the start of orientation. If you require airport pickup, please arrive on a suggested date at the beginning of orientation week.
